This newsletter features one of the best ways to capture and publish your ideas in the world.
It’s free to do, easy, and I think it’s pretty fun too.
When I first got into social media marketing at 21, I started freelancing for CEOs.
My spiel was that I could come prepared to Zoom calls with a list of questions and mock interview them.
We’d record the call, transcribe it, and then I’d produce as much content as I could to share their best stories into different formats (text posts, video clips, carousels & more).
This was energising work as I learned so much from different founders and creators. It also felt rewarding as I knew we were teasing out of them their best insights to then share them with the world.
CEOs aren't the only people short of time. I’m guessing you are too?
Recently I was reminded that this is still one of the best ways to share content online.
Writing can be incredible enjoyable, particularly when you get into a flow state, but for most of us, our most creative hours of the day are taken up by other people’s demands or work gets too busy.
The truth is, you already have so many incredible ideas and insights to share with the world.
The bottleneck in 90% of cases is that you don't have a process that isn't time-consuming, that you genuinely enjoy.
So grab a buddy, colleague or fellow creator this week and interview each other!
You don’t even need to use the video, but I do recommend that you capture video in case you do want to share some clips of the conversation.
If recording video will lead to perfectionism, don’t bother and turn your camera off, as it’s far more important that you just show up and get started.
Internally at Amplify we record every meeting, this "always-recording" culture means all of the wisdom shared by the time in a week can be turned into content.
So if you've stopped posting content, try it this week.
You can always hit record on your own and talk out-loud too. I like to go for walks and record voice notes that I can then turn into text with one-of-the-many transcription tools out there.
P.S I have YouTube videos being edited right now including some vlogs! Stay tuned amigos
